Jillian R. Hersted has been a resident of Mokena since 2005. Ms. Hersted is originally from the southwest suburbs, and graduated from Lincoln Way High School in 1997. She then attended the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, where she earned a bachelors degree from the College of Business. Over the next ten years, Ms. Hersted spent her career at The Northern Trust Company in Chicago as an analyst, sales associate, and product manager for the institutional investment outsourcing business. Specifically, she created customized investment solutions for public and corporate-defined benefit plans. During this time, she earned her MBA from Depaul Kellstadt Graduate School of Management in 2004, and was inducted into the Delta Mu Delta International Honor Society in Business Administration. Jillian left Northern Trust in 2013 to focus on raising her three children. In 2015, she, along with her family, took ownership of the Creamery in Mokena, Frankfort, and Orland Hills. Jillian has volunteered with the Village of Mokena since 2005 as a commissioner on the Economic Development Commission. She was elected as the Village Clerk of Mokena in 2017, and is excited to serve her community by working on behalf of the citizens to make Mokena an enjoyable place to live, work, and raise a family. Jillian and her husband Scott have three children, Sawyer, Brady, and Madeline. They are very involved in community sports and activities including basketball, soccer, and dance.
