Pharmaceutical Recycling/Drop-off
Will County Pharmaceutical Take-Back Program
In cooperation with the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, Will County offers residents wishing to dispose of unwanted medications or pharmaceuticals, either over-the-counter or prescription, the opportunity to safely drop off of these items.  Mokena residents can bring their items to the Mokena Police Department, located at 10907 Front Street, and leave them in the drop box of the lobby, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

A few tips:
  • Bring only residentially generated medication items. No medications from businesses or doctor’s offices can be taken.
  • Use a permanent marker to black out your name or personal information on the label.
  • This is not a share or reuse opportunity. All medications received will be destroyed in the most environmentally sound manner possible.
