Ever wonder what goes on behind the scenes at police calls and traffic stops? Would you like to know how your local police agencies operate?
 

Come join us to find out what goes on behind the scenes of police calls and traffic stops!

For 12 consecutive Thursday evenings beginning March 1st, the Citizen's Police Academy is an informational program open to the general public.  This program was designed to inform citizens of the community how the Police and Criminal Justice System work, and will be presented in a manner that is enjoyable for everyone who attends!

Attendees must be at least 18 years of age, and pass a background check.

Some highlights of the program include traffic stops, the criminal justice system, crime scene processing, a K-9 demonstration, tour of the coroner's office, and tour of the jail.

Classes will take place at the Will County Sheriff's Building, 16911 W. Laraway Road, in Joliet, from 7:00 - 9:30 pm.  Space is limited, so sign up today!  Fill out the application and return to the Mokena Police Department.  This program is free to the public.
